Spime connects digital activity to the physical world.
Every Spime exists within a defined geographic area and period of time. The mobile app uses a participant's location and the current time to determine which Spimes are relevant, which ones they can participate in, and whether they can capture and contribute new content.
There are no invitations required to discover a public Spime. When someone is in the right place at the right time, the relevant Spime can simply appear.
Space determines relevance. Time determines context. Presence determines participation.
Content Captured on the Ground
Authentic by Design
For organizations, knowing where and when information originated can be as important as the information itself.
Spime does not allow users to upload existing photos or videos into a Spime. Media must be captured directly through the Spime camera while the user is physically within the permitted area.
This creates an important distinction between content that someone claims came from a location and content that was captured there, through Spime, at that moment.
For municipalities, authorities and other organizations relying on information from the field, that provides valuable context and a much higher level of confidence in what they receive.

Photos and videos are captured through Spime's own camera rather than uploaded from a device, helping preserve the connection between content, location and time.
